I’m Maxime – or just Max – living in the heart of the diamond city Antwerp, together with my loyal sidekick Georgette (yes, she’s a dog – and quite the character).

For years, I worked in the world of tourism, and somewhere along the way, I lost my heart to the colors of travel – especially to Mexico. I spent several months in this wonderful country, letting myself be carried away by its energy, its warmth, and most of all, by the spirit of Frida Kahlo. Her story, her strength, her art – they stayed with me.

Jewelry runs in my blood. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been surrounded by it – watching, learning, dreaming. A few years ago, I decided to follow in my mother’s footsteps and step fully into the world of sparkle. Today, we run a wholesale business in 18k gold jewelry together, and it’s through that foundation that something deeply personal started to grow.

Project Frida is my soul poured into design. A place where I can express the colors I’ve collected through my travels, the emotions art stirs in me, and the belief that every person is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Just like Frida, I want my creations to celebrate authenticity, boldness, and beauty in all its forms.
